Royal Humane Society Medal – named to: PCE CONSTABLE Wm G BRETT 31st AUGUST 1894

1887Jubilee Medal (Metropolitan Police reverse) with 1897 bar named to: P C. W. Brett E.  DIVN

Edward VII Coronation Medal (Metropolitan Police reverse)  named to: P. C.  W. BRETT.  Y. DIV.

The Royal Humane Society Medal was awarded for plunging into the sea at Ryde and saving W.Searle age 16.

The Royal Humane Society last week issued the second of its lists of recipients of medals for distinguished acts of gallantry in saving life. Amongst the recipients of medals is Police Constable W. G. Brett for plunging into the sea at Ryde, and saving W. Searle, aged 16 

William Brett enlisted into the Metropolitan Police 31st December 1883. He served in E division 1887, Y division 1897 and 1902. Pensioned Y division 4th January 1909.
