India Medal 1854 with Perak clasp – Royal Artillery
The Perak Clasp was issued for those involved in activity off the West Coast of the Malay Peninsula 1874 and 1876. Following much unrest, piracy and the murder of the first British resident, Mr J.W.W. Birch General Colbourn commanded an expedition to the region. The culmination of this expedition were successful operations at Kinta and Kotah Lama.
