He is recorded in the Historical Record of the 49th Foot with the 91st as part of the 6th Brigade as wounded at Quatre Bras two days before the Battle of Waterloo
91st Regiment of Foot – the Princess Louise’s Argyllshire Highlanders, who was present at the battle of Waterloo on 18th June 1815, where his unit formed part of the 6th British Brigade in the 4th Division.
The 91st Foot comprising 824 men formed part of Major General Johnstone’s 6th British Brigade in Lieutenant General Sir Charles Colville’s 4th Division, which for most of the battle formed the reserve. During the battle the 91st Foot suffered 4 officers killed and two missing, and 1 other rank killed and 6 wounded.
