10th Hussars British Cavalry Boer War Medal Pair
This superb pair is mounted on to a very good quality bar ready for wear. The QSA has the following 6 clasps – Relief of Kimberley, Paarderberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill and Wittebergen. His KSA has the South Africa 01 and 02 Clasps. The QSA is named to 3938 PTE. A. COOK. 10th HUSSARS and the KSA is named 3938 CORPL. A. COOK. 10th HUSSARS. The clasps entitlement is confirmed on the medal roll. He was promoted out in the Cape. Arthur Cook was an 18 year old cloth cutter, born in Scarborough, Yorkshire, when he attested into the Hussars on the 18th March 1898. His papers show that at the time of attestation he belonged to the 2nd West Yorkshire Engineer Volunteers.
